So Islam needs to reform?

Here's a Muslim Sheikh who agrees:

Are you calling for reformation Doug, by removing sectarianism amongst muslims??? Are you now into selling snake oil or have you always been doing that.

It is impossible to separate modern Islam from backward savage tribal customs of the Arabic peninsula circa 7th Century.
Billions of people worldwide are being spoon fed archaic Arabic tribalism as religious truth.
It's essentially cultural imperialism behind seven veils of religious mumbo jumbo.

Then how do you explain peaceful, progressive American Muslims / peaceful mystical Sufis?

Examples include:

"Einstein Was Right" you said that:

"It's easy and has many cross references.
I simplify but you can find all guidance to 'just' killing, 'just' beheading,
lying, deceiving, etc.
These are basic pricinples of the core of the belief in Islam and Allah.
It is the Religion, whether any outsiders want to believe or follow themselves."

ALL this is in the Quran

and I am asking you a simple question which chapter in the Quran and you keep telling me about websites and this and that. I would think if I were to make a comment about the Bible I would at least have read the Bible or at least have looked up the "CHAPTER" it is in.

JUST TELL ME WHICH CHAPTER IN THE QURAN. Thats all.

Islamic canon consists of the Koran, Hadiths and many other religious egious texts whicha re considered sacred.
Even ultra-fundamentalists do not claim that Koran is the sole source of religious Islamic cannon. Surely you know that, but perhaps for taqqiya reasons choose to avoid this truth, hoping that Westerns don't know this.
It takes but a cursory perusal of Islamic religious canon ( Sunni or Shia) to find numerous and persistent justifications for ultra-violence, intolerance for alternative perspectives and dispensations for taqqiya and other forms of deceit.

There is one universally accepted and sacred exculpatory idea floating about in the polluted atmosphere of this earth, which I expect to hear 14 trillion more times.

"Stop picking on muslims or islam because there, is, or will be, or has been, at some point in the history of the world, evils other than those being planned and practiced by todays islam."
01:44 PM on 05/17/2011
True, but until other evils emerge, the Islamic jihadist is America's most imminent danger.

I would put it more along the lines of:

"Stop picking on muslims or Islam because most Muslims are peaceful, and Islam doesn't teach the things anti-Muslims say that it does, and extremists are a tiny minority of the world's 1.6 Billion Muslims, and so, to pick on Muslims and Islam is bigoted, and completely out of sync with reality."

Wait a minute. During Congressional hearings on Islamic radicalism, a legion of Muslims and their liberal supporters beat their breasts crying there's no need to look into the support for radical Islam in U.S. mosques and communities.

And now two-- count 'em --two imams are on trial for the support of our enemies. And more to come, no doubt..
oops...

No "Oops".

I was one of those who took exceptions to the inanity of Rep. King's hearings.

My point then, and now, is:

The system is working.

Everything Rep. King claimed a need to find was found long ago, is well understood, and thanks to the efforts of U.S. law enforcement agencies and American Muslims, is working as well as can be expected.

You've been posting the same study fora year now. Had you analytical ability to comprehend it. you may’ve realized even this study, co-authored by a Shariah proponent in the West, rejects many of your talking points.

Some quotes from your like: "it is clear that Muslims are engaging in terrorism at a greater rate than non-Muslims.”

“The American people would be surprised at the depth of the [homegrown] threat...”

"The geographic diversity of the offenders also suggests that there is no single “hot-bed” of radicalism in the United States that is generating large numbers of homegrown terrorism cases."

There is no single profile or a common warning
sign that signifies a “homegrown terrorist.”The diversity
of the demographics, ethnicities, and life experiences
makes the problem of detecting the homegrown terrorist an extremely difficult one for law enforcement.

That this many Muslim- Americans radicalized while living in this country and engaged in or plotted violence is discomforting."

"As with many homegrown terrorism cases across
the country, the Muslim community initially expressed
surprise and skepticism about the government’s
charges, worried that there would be a backlash against the community due to the arrests, and denied that any radicalization emanated from their mosques or the community in general..."

All these issues were addressed in King hearings. None were resolved. More hearings are needed.

From your Duke link:
"As with many homegrown terrorism cases across
the country, the Muslim community initially expressed
surprise and skepticism about the government’s
charges, worried that there would be a
backlash against the community due to the arrests,
and denied that any radicalization emanated from
their mosques or the community in general.
Evidence that the defendants had attended
the largest mosque in the region, the Islamic Center
of Raleigh, raised questions about the mosque’s
level of cooperation with law enforcement."

Npw let us gently extricate ourselves from the Islamic religious dogma and return to historical reality.

The name "Allah" was originally used by pagan Meccans as a reference to one of the pagan gods in n pre-Islamic Arabia.

In pre-Islamic Arabia amongst pagan Arabs, Allah was not considered the sole divinity, having associates and relatives in the Arabic pagan pantheon of various deities and gods.
In the same pagan tradition local deities al-ʻUzzá, Manāt and al-Lāt were considered children of pagan Arabic Allah.

Also the worship of the Rock of Kaaba predates Islam by many centuries. Muslims co opted this ( and many other pagan practices) for their own own liturgical purposes.

Send them to the caves of Afghanistan and see how they like supporting the Taliban, I'm sure their wives'll just love the idea. Shitholistan should test their beliefs. They've been enjoying frresh food, and flush toilets for too long, introduce them to the Taliban lifestyle.
