'The Hangover Part II': New Scenes Revealed In Three TV Spots (VIDEO)

First Posted: 05/15/11 12:39 PM ET Updated: 07/15/11 06:12 AM ET

The blurry details of Stu's drug-addled Thai bachelor party are starting to emerge. Here's a quick cheat sheet: Yikes.

With less than two weeks til the highly anticipated sequel, "The Hangover: Part II," hits theaters, new footage has been revealed to the public in three new TV spots, unwrapping new (if still vague) plot details (check out the first four TV spots here).

First, we find out that, once again, the confusion and carnage is the fault of group weirdo Alan (Zach Galifianakis). Whether roofies are involved remains to be seen, but the rest of the crew (Bradley Cooper's Phil and Ed Helms' Stu) most definitely have some impaired memories. Among other unfortunate new pickups.

Amongst them: the knowledge that Alan isn't very good with a gun.

There's also fresh footage of Mr. Chow Ken Jeong, who will obviously play an expanded role in this film. In fact, there was nothing he wouldn't do, the film's writing team told Entertainment Weekly.

"Ken would literally do anything," co-writer Ken Mazin told the magazine. "I honestly believe if we said, 'Ken, we actually need you to kill a human being in this scene for real,' he would do it. His enthusiasm is unbounded."

Soon, audiences will find out just how far and dark they were able to go.

This is so disturbing on many levels - excessive drinking causes so many horrible diseases that making it "light and (not) funny" is horrible

The reason why the first Hangover was so successful was the trailers only gave small hints to the jokes and never gave away any of the punchlines. They kept all the best parts off the trailers... and it looks like they're doing the same marketing this time around. I have a feeling that all the punchlines and really over the top gags are still secret and any audience that walks in is going to have a great time... I can't wait to see this!

I know this movie will probably be funny, and the occasional film where you can turn your brain off to laugh is always good. But honestly, how many more Hangover movies will we get where it's the same guys, in the same scenario, with the same basic plot construction just set in a different location? That's just laziness and trying to squeeze a buck out of a popular name. Maybe #2 will be just as good, but lightning can't keep striking over and over again.

The 1st "Hangover" movie was funny, so I'm sure the sequel will be just as funny. I'm not really sure what makes this worthy of "The Huffington Post"; though.

This movie is purely for entertainment and for watching some guys who constantly get themselves in jams.  It is funny and anyone expecting some deep plot like The King's Speech etc should not watch it.  These guys are not trying to fill you with any profound chi, they just want to make you laugh.

shouldn't this article have an " ADVERTISEMENT" disclaimer?

First one wasn't nearly as funny as people said it was, and I bet this will be the same since the trailer was almost exactly like the first one's trailer.

You must be very hard to entertain.  I don't like these types of movies but mostly because I refused to watch them.  Have since watched the first Hangover and also the Harold and Kumar movies.  They are not meant to have some deep thinking plot but to entertain and that they do.

I found the end of the movie where they show the pictures from the trip to be the funniest portion of the movie. I laughed more at Scott Pilgrim than I did at Hangover until those pics.

It looks like the same movie with some places changed and some details moved around. Classic Hollywood mediocrity....but I'll bet it's still pretty funny.

Stretch agrees with you.  It is a movie meant to be funny not serious.  That will probably be achieved.  I am not looking for some intricate plot in the story, I am looking for laughs

Same here.  My daughter bugged and bugged and I actually ended up loving the first one.  Same as Kumar movies.  They are not meant to have a plot, just good old fashioned laughs.
