Britney Campbell, 8-Year-Old Botox User, Taken Out Of Mother's Home (VIDEO)

"Good Morning America" reports that Britney Campbell has been taken away from her mother, who recently went on air to defend giving Botox to her eight-year-old.

Lara Spencer said, "I've spoken with someone very close to the case, she is out of her mother's home. She's doing well. The case is under investigation by CPS and we should have new details within a week. But the main thing here -- she's doing well."

We first told you about the Campbells in March and "GMA" covered their story last week. In a sit-down interview, Spencer asked Britney questions worthy of a horrifying "Law & Order: SVU" episode: can you show me where you do it? Can you point on your face? Of the Botox, Britney remarked, "It hurt sometimes, but I get used to it," and of the waxing, "It was super, super hard to deal with that...I just don't think it's ladylike to have hair on your legs," however adding that she won't do it again. At least not for a while.

Just one day later, the San Francisco Child Welfare Services started looking into it and Trent Rohrer of the San Francisco Human Services Agency told cameras, "It's pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with Botox. Certainly, it's grounds for an investigation." The agency apparently got involved because there were too many unknowns, like Kerry's training, where the Botox she used came from, and whether her daughter's pediatrician was consulted.

If there are pageant mothers out there doing this to their children, they should absolutely face child endangerment charges.

Add to that mandatory evaluations. I'm sorry but anyone who does something like this to a child has something wrong upstairs.

Why is it when I watch stories on these "pagent kids" the mothers are always unattractive and or fat? Please stop trying to live vicariously through your children. What pagent kids go through is awful. I saw a special on VH1 showing these girls being forced to practice hours on end, being force fed sugar to seem "peppy", getting spray tans, enduring hours of costume fittings and hair and makeup routines. Just so their fat mothers can have the glory. These are the same mothers who wonder why their daughters end up pregnant at 14. Let your children be children!!!

And boys and girls, always remember you are never good enough as you are. You NEED botox, designer clothes, make-up, lip-stick and a host of other "beauty" treatments to mask the natural ugliness we are all born with. Corporations have saved us from having to go through life looking like ourselves. We must give thanks unto them, buy all their products, even on credit and never fail to glue ourselves to television so we can never miss the launch of a new product to make us better than we are. And yes my little ones....happiness can be yours if only you learn to despise yourself as you are.

What I find amazing is the thousands of hungry and homeless kids in America that aren't taken form their parents. No, we only want to remove the mothers who are making 'mistakes' and a simply warning will suffice.

Injecting a c.h.e.m.i.c.a.l into your child's face without the medical training (or authority?) to do so is not a mistake ... and the child would still be at home if the i.d.i.o.t wouldn't have gotten on national television to tell the world of her i.n.s.a.n.e. a.b.u.s.e.

First...yeah, just take homeless kids away from parent. Forget trying to help the whole family...d**k. Second, YES TAKE HER AWAY...are you stupid? She has no right being a parent.

Wow, I'm completely gobsmacked. What a horrifying mother. What is she teaching her child and please can somebody tell me where the father is in all this? This poor little girl is going to have so many body issues and self worth issues. To me, this is no different then any other type of mental abuse. This mother really needs to get her priorities together and seek some counseling.

One more thing. Thank god I have a mom who used to tell me I was beautiful when I was younger, even if I had a gigantic pimple on my forehead and thought I was hideous. Mothers should build up their daughters self-esteem and self-worth, not bring it down.

I hear that, sister!! I look back at photos of my frizzy hair, unibrow and braces and cringe. But I remember my mom would always sing me a song about how beautiful I was!!!
Mission accomplished, MOM!!!

What the in the h-e-l-l? An 8 year old doesn't even have wrinkles. I'm in my late 20s and I'm no where near even considering using the stuff, so how did this mother think it was alright do to something like that to her daughter? And shouldn't a doctor or nurse be injecting that stuff into someone in the first place?
11:39 AM on 05/17/2011
The picture of the little 8 year old looks like she is much older than 8 years of age. It is a shame that some parents cannot allow their children to just be a kid instead of forcing the children to live out some fantasy that they conjured up in their cranium.

It's very sad. She's probably going to grow up with so many self-esteem issues, all directly related to the fact that her mom didn't think she was pretty enough as she was. It's terrible.

It's horrifying the chances of her having a "normal" childhood are at exactly zero.

This is abuse. Period. The child may not have physical signs of abuse, but what her mother did to her is psychologically damaging.

Thank goodness. I hope it doesn't take too much therepy to get this child's head screwed back on straight.

It will.
09:56 PM on 05/17/2011
It will tho..the kid knew it was wrong..it was almost like the she was coached on how to answer the questions. During the interview I saw, she kept looking up at her mother it almost reminded me of the 'Ballon boy' interview. Poor kid.
