Lindsey Wixson Falls On Fashion For Relief Catwalk In Cannes (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 05/17/2011 7:46 am   Updated: 07/17/2011 5:12 am

Model-of-the-moment Lindsey Wixson earned her stripes on Monday night as she took quite a spill on Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief runway, held as part of Cannes Film Festival.

The 17-year-old let her gigantic bronze gown get the best of her, but she wasn't the only woman down. The Telegraph reports that two others had a bit of trouble, too.

Take a look at Lindsey's descent and the thumbs up she gave afterward. And check out the rest of the runway looks here.

After that last fall, I probably would have just crawled the rest of the way.
Undignified?
Sure.
But it's better than falling and breaking your neck, right?

She's gorgeous. Good for her for getting her name out there; no such thing as bad publicity... especially since she's not the first or last person to fall on a runway.

Unique, yes. Brave, yes. Gorgeous, NO!

She actually tripped about 4 times. I thought it was her shoes, but, it seems like someone should have hemmed the dress before she took flight!

i LOVE her composure after she stands. the chic in yellow has a 'i am laughing in my head' look

The dress she was wearing was way too long and she kept tripping over it. Another example of a ridiculous, unwearable, so-called fashion. More like a stupid torture garment.

Loved the big smile and thumbs up. Great attitude. Everyone has taken a tumble once or twice in life. Not that big of a deal really, it's happened on the runway before. What man would kick her out of bed for it?

What a sad state of affairs when the photographers seek delight and pleasure in someone falling....
08:15 PM on 05/17/2011
Maybe someone should try teaching the models how ot walk in high heels before sending them out to break a leg
07:58 PM on 05/17/2011

And this is news WHY?What is it with the media always attempting to show a human "misstep" as such a horrible negative?WHO cares about this stuff other than someone attempting to make themselves appear better than the person they are displaying this Way?Get a life people.

But she IS a minority. How many women you know that are runway models?
07:14 PM on 05/17/2011
There are far too many runway spills lately. They can make a runway in any color, but why don't they put down a safe surface for these gals so they can strut without worrying? Seems like a no-brainer to me.
