Secondhand shopping, with all of its required digging and rummaging, is more treasure hunt that traditional shopping trip. Turn your thrifting into an all day adventure by getting out of Los Angeles, (where most if the thrift stores are completely picked over anyways), and heading to the great vintage and secondhand emporiums in the greater LA area.

Destination: Ventura
Shop: Main Street
Drive Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
This bustling street in downtown Ventura features a bounty of funky secondhand shops nestled among high-end boutiques and restaurants. LOVE LOVE LOVE Harper Blue resale shop in Ventura. It has a great and fabulous assortment of gorgeous upscale and other clothing in missy AND plus sizes and they have really pretty shoes, purses, and jewelry. Their prices are quite fair for the quality. Just down the street is another fantastic resale store, One Mo' Time at 2070 E. Main St. in Ventura and they also have absolutely beautiful, quality, upscale resale and some new designer clothing, purses, and accessories. Their jewelry is really really pretty . Right behind One Mo' Time is their sister store that has beautiful old and new shabby chic decorative accessories for the home. Consigning Women is a plus sizes only consignment shop at 1998 E. Main St. in Ventura. It has casual to dressy plus size women's clothing including lingerie. There are even more consignment and resale shops on Main St. with a vaierty of quality. I LOVE Ventura's Main Street for B' On Main, which is a fabulous shop with a small but cute line of upscale casual clothing and a great assortment of unusual and wonderful gifts and decorative accessories. I LOVE this store plus it is only a few doors down from a cute restaurant, Cajun Kitchen that has delicious food . There are lots of really good restaurants in Ventura. Ventura is a great place for non chain store options for great shopping and the beautiful beach is right there too. I LOVE visiting Ventura, CA.
