Over the course of my career I have made films about a broad range of subjects, immersing myself in each while making the film. It was not until Food, Inc. that my involvement in a subject continued to grow after completing the film. I thought I could move on to new topics, but the tailwinds have been too strong.

Yes...all american farmers should go to the New York City Tribeca film festival to be be lectured by urban people about what they are doing wrong. What is wrong is that urban people eat this nonsense up hook line and sinker without seeing a balanced view.

I suppose if I lived in NYC and only green thing I ever see is when I take the A train to Central Park I would think there is some sort of Monsanto 'conpiracy' too.

Urban people are embarrassing in their ignorance of ag science and farms.

Hazel, you are so right. Urbanites think that if they visit a local farmers market once a month and purchase a $3 tomato that claims to be organic that they are an expert in food production. I propose that everyone must commit with a certification card that if they are truely organic, then they can only purchase organic-vegan-raw milk... I will take my conventionally produced food anyday.
