amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala 2011 Attended By Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani & Brooke Shields, Raises Record-Breaking $10 Million (PHOTOS, POLL)

PHOTOS: Filmmakers & Fashionistas Hit 2011 amfAR Gala In Cannes

Filmmakers and fashionistas alike flocked to amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala held as part of the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night.

The sartorial order of the night seemed to be either white or black -- but a few famous faces went for pops of color, namely Janet Jackson, actress Fan Bingbing and model Doutzen Kroes.

Some other style standouts: Milla Jovovich in champagne Versace, feathered Carine Roitfeld who arrived with Kanye West, Karolina Kurkova's armful of pearls, Giovanna Battaglia's truly puzzling, bikini-like top-half, Irina Shayk showing some skin and princess-to-be Charlene Wittstock, whom we're always glad to see.

However, the evening wasn't just about the ensembles. The fundraiser brought in a record-breaking $10 million, toppling last year's $7.64 million, according to AFP. And attendees sat under a portrait of Elizabeth Taylor, who hosted the first Cinema Against AIDS Gala in 1993.

Check out who was there and, of course, who wore what.
