Tennessee's senate recently passed a bill that would prohibit teachers from discussing homosexuality in classrooms before students reach ninth grade, and it's being called the "Don't Say Gay" bill.
Actor George Takei, who's established himself as a lol-y web presence via his Twitter, is taking a serious stand against the bill by appealing to people's senses of humor. His proposed solution? He's offering his last name as a substitute for the word gay -- it rhymes, so it's almost as good, right?

He's even opened up a web store so people can show their Takei pride.
