Harold Camping's Family Radio Goes Quiet With May 21 Actually Here

For all the hype leading up to this, countless broadcasts and a sprawling nationwide campaign, the airwaves of Christian station Family Radio are oddly silent with May 21, 2011 finally here.

Harold Camping, president of Family Radio and a multimillionaire, has also been quiet, as the hours tick and signs of an apocalypse are nowhere to be found.

Reuters reports Family Radio has been airing "recorded church music, devotionals and life advice unrelated to the apocalypse" throughout today. The station's website typically allows you to listen live, but the feature has been having problems today, likely due to server overload.

Camping and his group of believers had said repeatedly in past days that the rapture on May 21 was a certainty.

The non-profit Family Radio, based in California, has been a primary driver to spread the word. The non-stop promotion has gone so far that the station changed the HTML Title Name of its website to "Family Radio (FR) Worldwide - Judgment Day: May 21, 2011."

harold camping says that he ir getting all his info from the bible.does anyone really know who wrote it and after 2000 years that someone didnt revise it in theyre own words.after 2000 years im sure someone changed a little something in there.thats why the calculations are off lol.if the world is gonna end then let it be.dont need to go round scaring people and making thjem do things they wouldnt ordinarilly do.MR.CAMPING your not gonna spoil my b-day on the 22nd of oct.

Camping is no different than any of those sheep in wolves clothing that Jesus warned us about some 2000 years ago. There are many like him that preach a different gospel than the one from the Bible. He says many things that don't add up to Christianity. If I was to describe Camping, I would say that he is in fact a terrorist. Yes, a terrorist, because by him making such a bizarre prediction he is in fact setting fear to the millions that follow his broadcast and millions around the world. For a person of his age that has been studying the Holy scriptures for so long and to twist them about for his own agenda, I think that the man is in fact insane.

In Matthew 24 the Lord Jesus Christ clarified the question of the the end of the world. He also said in verse 4-8 And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Those it make sense?

Camping is a direct follower of the apolaclyptic visions created by Jesus 2000 years ago. All these religious figures are attention grabbers whose main tactic was to create and perpetuate terror and fear among their followers, to who they sometimes refer their flock as in sheep! Why did a loving God or his son and his other "saints" always rely on total devastation, either through some sort of pestilence, or personalized torture here on earth and ad infinitumin hell as part of their armamentarium of "love" Why would an omniscient and omnipresent and loving God be responsible for all the devastation, pain and suffering that happen in this world? Why cant he even spare innocent children if he is so loving? Why do the so called "religious" rejoice in their perverse staus as the ones who will become the "sheep" that will mill on his right side, so that they can enjoy the total suffering and evelasting pain of people who were once their brothers, and siters, or even loving parents!! Why is religion of some sort or other the sole cause of the worst type of hatred which even in this day and age results in death and mass torture? This is a comment about all religious persuasios and not just Moslems and Christians! God is not responsible for all that is going on in the world today, but He does allow it to happen and He is in control of it all. The questions you are asking are definitely written in the Bible. What we witness here on earth I do not consider hell. Hell is a real place and it is eternal. I'm not trying to come off as a religious freak but I just have one scripture in regards to An Omniscient, Omnipresen­t and Loving God. John 3-16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. We were created as eternal beings, but because of the fall of man we are destine for hell. There's is only one way from eternal damnation, JESUS. John 14-6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

I can hear where you're coming from, but the fact of the matter is that he is protected by the first amendment. There are many just like him that make up their own doctrines and make a mockery of the word of God. In this day and age there are no true bible prophets, only false prophets. Though there are many true men of God. And because there are so many false prophets it is the number one reason that folks are being misled and deceived. God talks to the believer through His word, the Holy Bible, not through Camping, Dollar, Copeland, Osteen etc, etc. I'm always skeptical when someone comes up and tells me that they have a word for me from God. In short, there are no bad Christians, just bad teachers.

2 Timothy 2-15 Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
