'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2' New TV Trailer Revealed (WATCH)

First Posted: 05/22/11 07:56 AM ET Updated: 07/22/11 06:12 AM ET

It all comes down to this. And for a story whose outcome is already well known, there sure is a lot of dramatic tension in this new TV trailer for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two."

Warner Bros. has released the latest spot for their epic wizard finale, which features the final face off between the absolute good of Harry Potter and the pure evil of Voldemort. Directed by David Yates, the film strikes a tone of bleak darkness, yet contains the thread of hope that The Boy Who Lived can save the world, once and for all, from the Dark Arts uprising.

It's a right proper send off to the now eight-part movie series, with star Daniel Radcliffe all grown up and already taking on new challenges. He's currently appearing in the Broadway smash "How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" and has a new film on its way in "The Woman In Black." He also recently revealed that he plans on trying his artistic hand at film directing.

Though some important details in the book seems to be overlooked, the effects filled for it. I hope Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be action-packed movie compared to the previous ones. Looking forward!

Loved the books, but they were just OK movies. You had to have read the books in order to understand the movies. And, I think they should have changed the cast between episodes or made them quicker. The cast was way too old in the last 3 or 4 episodes.

And really, Radcliffe is a poor actor. ALL of his expressions look faked and contrived. Love the rest of the cast but they miscast Harry's part.

the first book made me wonder just what all the noise was about. starting with the second book roland's writing just kept getting better. a gay professor dumbledore was certainly a major positive for the books. my son, who got his interest in reading via HP, is gay and that meant something to him.

The movies have been entertaining, but if I only knew the movies, I'd think, "Meh."

If you really want to understand the Harry Potter phenomenon, read the books from start to finish. Absolutely great, no matter what your age.

New drinking game idea: watch the trailer and every time you hear Voldermort scream, 'NNNNNNNNNNYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!' - You have to drink.

I look forward to the movie even though Yates butchered 'Order of the Phoenix' and the ending to 'Half-blood Prince.'

I was very disappointed in the end of Half-Blood Prince. There was a great battle scene in the book that I was looking forward to, but he just decided to skip it entirely.

Totally agree. With Daniel's hair that movie was a huge disappointment.

Order was just too big a book to do in one movie...a bunch of stuff had to be cut.

Half-blood was the same way. Unfortunately with this movie, they decided to focus on the stupid kiddie love angle instead of the main plot line. Worst of all the movies...hands down.

Only if you expect to the movie to accurately reflect the book. Movies are much more focused and less detailed out of necessity. If you take them on their own independent of the books they are pretty well done and fine entertainment.

Pity Harry Potter can't take on the GOP and the Baggers.

Best books ever, and pretty awesome movies as well. Thank you, J.K. - you deserve to be a billionaire and then some. Can think of very few people that have contributed so much to the good of the world.

I totally agree and I'm 58 years old. I loved the books and miss reading new ones.

Great books, and great movies. Is the writing a masterpiece? Heck no, but its still great reading, and unlike most books to movies, the HP movies have done justice to the books, and sometimes done even better than the books, IE HP 1 & 2 movies.
