Obama Ireland Trip Hits A Bump As Armored Car Gets Stuck In Dublin (VIDEO)

President Obama's stop in Ireland hit a snag when his armored car got stuck on a ramp leaving the U.S. Embassy in Dublin.

Cheers erupted as the car approached the gate, which quickly turned to gasps of surprise as the car loudly scrapes the ramp.

The large crowd gathered outside the embassy alternated between cheers and boos of annoyance. "Nice bit of driving!" one onlooker offered, while another volunteered to help push the car.

Obama is visiting Dublin as part of a European tour including Ireland, Britain, France and Poland. In Ireland, he visited Moneygall, "the small Irish village where his great-great-great grandfather once lived and worked as a shoemaker," according to the AP. "We're delighted for this day. We thought it would never happen," added resident Aileen Spillane.

Very fitting that it's one of the Bush era limos, It got stuck like the condition he left the country in. That was not President Obama's. They use the older Bush era limos as back up now. Obama's limo looks different.

I suspect they miscalculated the grade vs the extra weight of an armor-plated car.

Those streets were probably designed with armor-plated horses and riders in mind.

And before you get judgmental about Obama getting a new limo, Bush had 2 new cars while in office. They replace the limo every few years, probably because of wear and tear on the chassis with that weight.
