Michelle Obama & Kate Middleton Meet In London (PHOTOS)

President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama continued their European adventure on Tuesday, arriving in London to meet the royals...including Duchess Catherine of Cambridge!

For the occasion, Michelle picked a pale green, embroidered frock by Barbara Tfank paired with a cropped pink jacket, silver kitten heels, a brooch and Phillips Frankel earrings. The former-Kate Middleton donned a beige Reiss bandage dress. Camilla wore a cream-colored suit topped off with a hat and Queen Elizabeth II stuck to florals, that went swimmingly with FLOTUS' outfit.

There are so many vile and bigoted comments here, mainly from MO's defenders.. Personally, I don't think she needs defending.
Could we not agree that perhaps different cultures have different standards of beauty and fashion ?
There is nothing wrong with that, with one exception: People who are given the high honor of representing all Americans are held to a higher standard. Protocol,history and tradition are what they are.
The constant presence of photograhers, reporters, etc must be overwhelming. But again, when one is given much, much is expected. It may not seem fair, or kind, but there is a price to be paid for living,, however briefly , a life of luxury and celebrity.
My biggest complaint is that any politician who flaunts their wealth when taxpayers are in dire straits, and the country is going down the tubes, is insensitive and none too bright.
As an example, Newt's Tiffany bills have finished him off, and rightly so. If Obama had Tiffany bills like that, and anyone here complained, the Hater crowd would go ballistic, come on fair is fair.

It is so clear to me that this post does not like our beautiful first lady michelle obama because they the hp continually put her in the style section,yes michelle has style but she has much more substance.The hp could learn a lot from michelle on any subject ok mrs. arianna,you are old and michelle is young and beautiful so stop hating on her by trying to find pic that was snapped when our first lady was just making a facial expression you try to make it unattractive but she still looks good you are wastin you time

Kate would look great in a burlap sack, MO doesn't look good in anything, no matter how much money is spent on it. The difference here is, Kate will be Queen (consort) one day but, her mindset isn't focused on her station in life, whereas MO thinks she's Queen and her mindset is totally focused on herself and her station in life, however short her husband's term is.

I finally realized that M.O. has typical suburban taste when it comes to style. She has that look of going to the high end shopping mall. But how can she help it she is from middle America. It's hard to develop a fashion sense in a land where everyone wears jeans for practically every occasion. No Jackie O is right. But J.O. was a totally different era.

Laura Bush was even less stylish than M.O. Hillary Clinton looks pure suburban as well wearing the horrible pantsuits combinations she favors. Laura Bush along with Rosalynn Carter and Patricia Nixon were never know to be stylish. Mrs. Carter perhaps the least stylish of the late 20th Century first ladies. Lady bird was no Jackie O either and neither was Mamie Eisenhower. The point is First Ladies have never been known for style except for that rare flower called Jackie O.

My question is Michelle is locked up in a room with Camilla, and the Duchess? Is that the best of Englands lady power? I can't imagine how boring the topics were. And the new Duchess why is she all of a sudden so important that she has too meet with world leaders?

Because she will be Queen one day. And for the same reason Michelle is there - there's not reason for her to be meeting world leaders either. And Kate will be a Duchess/eventual Queen until she dies - Michelle will be a FORMER FLOTUS in a little less than 2 years.

Could you please get her name and title correct from the beginning:
HRH The Princess William, Duchess of Cambridge.
She is not Princess Catherine or Princess Catherine of Cambridge.

Yup. The Huff Post link that brought me to this piece refers to her as "Duchess Catherine" and that's how they have her name in the poll at the top of the page as well.

Please please American media-types learn this: no one is ever "Duchess [first name}", it's only ever correct in the form "The Duchess" or "Duchess of [place name]". I cringe every time I see this "Duchess Catherine" or "Princess Catherine" thing and unfortunately it is popping up all over on the left side of the Atlantic these days.

As above, she is "Her Royal Highness Princess William, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus" or, if you prefer, just "Her Royal Highness" or "Catherine" is fine, or "Kate". Even Wikipedia gets it right.

Seriously: learn it.
