Rush Limbaugh Ratings Tumble

Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh's ratings have fallen sharply in recent months, according to a new report by Arbitron.

Limbaugh still has the top-rated radio talk show in the country, but his audience has dropped by 33 percent since October. And he's not the only one--Sean Hannity's ratings have also slipped by 28 percent.

A spokesperson for Premiere Radio, which distributes both Limbaugh's and Hannity's shows, told Crain's Business that the company wasn't worried about the ratings dip, since they were still the two biggest talk show hosts in America.

The best there is on radio? Man your standards are really low, aren't they? You should go out more often.

I have listened to Rush Limbaugh after I read an article here about his hate filled tirades. Beside his total denial of climate change I didn't hear anything offensive. It was definitely not even close to what I was expecting or had imagined. After this I have learned to fact check information and to try and experience things for myself in order to present a factual and defendable opinion.

I would hope that Americans have had enough of the rantings and hate spewed from both Mr. Limbaugh and Mr. Hannity.

I listen all the time. He has a lot of good ideas. Some not so good. But hate? No way. You must not listen to his show.

Since most of his fan base is over 65, you've got to wonder how many turned off the radio versus how many had life support turned off.

Any one that listens to Rush has been off "life support" for a long time.."Intelligent life support" that is... :>)

Have a feeling everyone is drawing the wrong conclusions here. Speaking personally, I listen to a lot less conservative talk than I used to. Have I become less conservative? Did I begin to dislike the hosts? No, I simply get most of my information from online sources now. Conservative radio is down - how are conservative websites?

This is what happened to Glen Beck as well. Keep your fingers crossed. As an aside, this maybe due to Ryan's budget proposing to kill Medicare and Limbaugh's rabid vitriolic rantsl against Medicare. I don't think it's a coincidence. The rightwing's Waterloo?

Boehner cried that the ACA was Armageddon. But the Ryan plan is Armageddon, Waterloo and the Apocalypse combined.

33% less of the populous is being provoked into hatred, bigotry and lies.

It's a 'good thing'.
