Oprah's Style Then & Now (PHOTOS, POLL)

Oprah bid adieu to viewers Wednesday after twenty-five years of her eponymous talk show, and two-and-a-half decades of on-screen outfits, red carpet gowns and different 'dos to go with each.

The arguably most influential woman in the world favors frocks with wide necks and fitted bodices...although, there was that one time in 1998 when she rocked some high-waisted jeans and a turtleneck. And it was awesome.

For someone who is so obsessed with healthy living, Dr. Oz , makeovers, and whatever, none of this seems to apply to herself.
Accepting ones self for what you are only goes so far.
This country is on a tirade about obesity and Type 2 diabetes. Oprah is the perfect candidate.
But again, she doesn't seem to apply this to herself. This woman can afford a thousand personal trainers, private exercise facilities, and a personal chef to boot. How is it that she still carries all this unhealthy weight.
Well the positive side is that when she develops her Type 2, she' can pay for all of it herself, and it won't cost society a dime.

So, so proud of this lady. She is an inspiration to all and a great statement of what you can become with hard work and determination. I wish her the best and hope she's able to do even more. The past three days of shows were amazing, especially seeing the young men who were able to go to college because of her scholarships. Much is made of her wealth and the girls' school in Africa, but I wish I had known about what she did for American men too... you're a class act Ms Winfrey!

She looks great in most of those, but she's got stylists so they get a lot of the credit. HP hasn't posted a lot of images from the 1980s when she probably didn't have one. :)

Oprah is a large woman. I wish she could just accept that fact and stop beating up on herself about her weight. Truth be told, she looks better now than in that infamous photo in jeans that we always see.Steadman seems to be happy. Come on Oprah, you are great and looking good just as you are.

Actually, she has. Last year, she said that she finally learned to accept her body for what it is and that she's done with diets forever. Good on her!

Amen! Her man loves her, she is happy, and yeah, that one shot of her in jeans has always creeped me out. As long as she has a healthy heart and climb a flight of stairs, nothing else matters. She's a beautiful, real woman and is an inspiration for the rest of us. No matter the size, we all have value and presence in this world. Old, young, fat, small, it's what's inside that counts.
