'What Are New Yorkers Listening To?' (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'What Are New Yorkers Listening To?'

New Yorkers love their music. At any given moment -- on subway platform, on line for the bathroom at Starbucks -- our ears are plugged, full of favorite tunes. It's sometimes a rather anti-social trait of ours, yes, but video man Ty Cullen sought to correct that with this charming video.

Cullen stops passersby listening to music and asks them what they're listening to. Mostly the flummoxed commuters stop to tell him. Beyonce. Frank Sinatra. Bob Marley. It's a great and simple idea. The video becomes a collective mix-tape of what's playing at any given moment. However, this seems to be the sound of midtown and Union Square, and what we want to know is what does Williamsburg sound like? Flushing? Canarsie? Carroll Gardens at 8pm when yoga gets out? The possibilities are endless.
