Carla Bruni Back In Black For G8 Dinner On Thursday (PHOTOS)

After looking "visibly pregnant" while greeting G8 spouses on Thursday, Carla Bruni was back in black for dinner at Le Ciro's Restaurant in Deauville, France, and minimizing any sort of bump de bébé.

The French first lady paired her LBD with drop earrings, strappy kitten heels and a silver clutch.

she is my age
i never felt like i wanted to be like her or as a consequence buy the fashions she modeled
i know models are supposed to represent genetic variation but i agree that we should stick to earthlings

Although I'm not a fan of Woody Allen's movies, I will certainly see this one. I thought she made what is called a cameo appearance, just very short, a minute or two?

She has the most compelling face, and I recall thinking this when I first saw her in fashion shoots for Marie Claire, when she was very young. She could be really quite plain (given her profession, I mean), then just lovely, then gorgeous, and then again, out-of-this world full-on sexy. Protean is the word, isn't it? Can't think of any other model with so many faces in her arsenal. I'm not a fan, but she does look lovely here, just serene. (And boy would I love to read The Unauthorised Biography!)

I like the pics of her in old jeans and a white t-shirt, hardly any make-up. Gorgeous. She looks good in nearly everything she wears and her face is like a beautiful porcelain doll's.

I don't mind hose, per se, but to wear them with anything more open than a peeptoe is not flattering. I will admit, those are the BEST looking (skin tone matching) hose I've ever seen. But PLEASE don't pair them with a T-Strap sandal. Screams old lady, from the ankle down. That being said I LOVE Carla Bruni. She's got authentic spirit!

I agree it is odd, but I wouldn't argue with Bruni's taste.. must be a reason.. perhaps the hose are a must and the open sandals the only thing she can wear with swollen feet- she is pregnant after all and forced to stand and stand.

Get a grip. Maybe they're some sort of support hose--I think she's on top of this sort of fashion faux pas. She's frigging pregnant. I'm a woman and did notice those hose as well, but mostly I was really jealous that she has such great legs.

they make more sheer support hose now and for some ladies who are pregnant they are absolutley necessary---why shoul danyone get worked up about what Ms. Bruni wears? Or anyone else for that matter.
