LeAnn Rimes In A Bikini On Twitter, Defending Her Weight (PHOTOS)

LeAnn Rimes took to Twitter over the weekend to show off photos of herself in a string bikini on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, where she and Eddie Cibrian are honeymooning.

Some fans were alarmed by her extremely thin appearance. "@leannrimes Whoa, you're scary skinny! Sorry don't mean to offend but that's a lot of bones showing through skin..." one wrote.

LeAnn replied, "@AJPaterson1987 those are called abs not bones love."

Later on she tweeted about a fast food stop in the airport.

"Boston Dog's sliders and French fries in the Cabo airport are so good! Anyone coming here try them!!!" she wrote.

This is not the first time LeAnn has shared a bikini pic or defended her weight and healthy eating habits on Twitter.

It really bothers me to read comments on articles like this, because honestly you cannot tell if someone is unhealthy or not just by looking at a photo of them. An accusation of an eating disorder is something very serious to say, but even with that aside it makes the assumption that eating disorders have a "look". Contrary to popular belief, people can have an eating disorder and not be skinny. All of those people are marginalised when people focus on *weight* being the problem, when an eating disorder is a psychological condition that effects women of all different sizes. Yes, many people who have an eating disorder are very thin, but that doesn't mean that many people who are very thin have eating disorders.

Whether or not LeAnn is healthy, I don't know. But I can guarantee you that there are women who resemble her who *are* healthy, and they would read these comments about how "disgusting" her body is and feel really crap about something about themselves that they can't change. That's not very fair to them, to be told their body type is unhealthy when for them, it's perfectly healthy.

The sooner society stops focusing on what an "ideal" body size is (which is different for every individual) the sooner people will start being healthier, embrace the way nature made them and be far happier.

I saw a recent head on picture of her...she is anorexic...no two ways about it...the fact that she tweets about all the burgers she eats is further evidence that she is in denial about it...

I am a thin man with a muscular build and I have to defend her on this. I have a group of finger sized muscles under my pectorals that look like ribs. The only problem is they do not run exactly the same way as ribs and you can manipulate them unlike ribs. So I guess what I am saying is I know she is not the "norm" but pushing healthy people towards the "norm" in this country is 1 unhealthy and 2 emotionally or psychologically damaging for the person you are coming down on. Stop with your under-informed uneducated guesses that she is unhealthy! Women have been dealing with this too darn much in my opinion and men have the same problem. If you are not "big" or "bigger" there is something wrong with you. I hate to say it but it is actually the other way around. Calorie restriction is known to equate with longevity, a couple extra pounds or an extra layer is not in any way associated with health or longevity. To each their own I guess, just back off.

I personally do not think she is too skinny looking... we are used to seeing her as being a bit heavier (not that I mean she was fat). If she drops another 10lbs then I think she will start to look really bad.

I'm with the people who realize she is HEALTHY THIN not emaciated, I personally would like to know her exercise and nutrition regime. If all you fat people new what that looked like you wouldn't be making those comments and trying to justify your unhealthy selves. Nothing is GROSSER and SADDER than seeing kids out in public today waddling around, shuffling their feet cuz they can't pick them up, out of breathe, huge bellies hanging over their pants. People need to wake up!! You are killing yourselves and your children!!

People in America are just not used to seeing fully healthy human beings walking around without being covered in that extra 30 pounds of useless flab.

They're cutting off comments these days.

Sadly, women have the burden of having their bodies scrutinized.

As far as her health....generally, if you can see the pelvic bone, or your ribs protruding through your skin ...this is generally too thin.

But in her case, perhaps her natural state is thin.
