With only 109 days until then next Emmy Awards, Stephen Colbert is already on the edge of his seat wondering if he'll finally beat Jon Stewart. On Wednesday night's "Report," however, he picked a bone with a different Emmy contender, his "best friends for six months," Jimmy Fallon.
Colbert reminded us that the only reason he does his show is for the chance of getting an Emmy ("Do you think I appear on magazine covers, collaborate with my musical heroes and hobnob with billionaires and presidents because I like this?") before revealing his real outrage: Fallon's Emmy consideration packet containing a photo of Colbert.
Of course, Colbert immediately took this as someone "riding his coattails" once again and responded in the only logical way: A Fallon-style "thank you note." Watch the full segment below and tell us who does the classic segment better: Fallon or Colbert?
