Anthony Weiner Twitter Scandal: His Most Unfortunate Quotes

In the days since Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-N.Y.) allegedly hacked Twitter account sent a racy photo to a woman in Seattle, Washington, the congressman hasn't done much to help convince the media to move on from the story.

After deleting the photo, which showed a close-up of a man's crotch, @RepWeiner reacted with jokes and assertions that his account had been hacked. By Tuesday, after a weekend explosion of Weinergate news, he was lashing out at the press, saying he wouldn't talk about the issue any further. Then, like some gift to the media gods, Weiner began talking to the press again -- a lot, actually -- with interviews on Fox, MSNBC and CNN.

In these interviews, Weiner either intentionally or unintentionally used some quotable double entendres, and odd turns of phrase that did little to quell the media storm that only a good Weiner joke can generate.

What's most bizarre , is the fact that M$M...which now includes Huff Post, is how much attention is paid to the subject of Mr Weiner's body, rather than the fact that this story was "revealed",by none other than the R's favorite snake: Andrew Brightbart (sp?)...

LAst I checked, another Congressman was recently forced to resign for sending a pict of his (gasp) naked chest, to a woman... So, assuming this is indeed Weiner (he can't say with "Certitude" it isn't him, he obviously needs to submit his resignation.

Oh, and now there is a new woman with picts and texts from the Dbag...AND another has come forward who is ALSO a po*rn star...

But yeah - it's Breitbart is the problem..

Just plain...bizarre. Forget the political windbaggers opinions on the subject. Real simple, either say you sent the picture or didn't send the picture. End of story. His lack of specifics on this subject is almost as disturbing as the picture itself.

A good example of why Im an independent: because I hate the mindless kneejerk partisan hypocrisy on both sides, as clearly demonstrated in the comments here. If this clown was a Republican, you people would be falling all over yourselves to make it an "issue", but because he's one of your Democrat buddies, then of course that makes it a "non issue". On the other side, Republicans ARE falling all over themselves to make it an issue, and if it were one of their own, theyd be trying to change the subject the same way that you are. How pathetic and nauseating you all are.

He's a good guy. He's good for the country. Let it go. I don't live in his state but am proud of him for his representation of the middle class and health care. I am past seventy and love to watch him in action on the floor. It isn't like he wants to kill old people and start wars to kill young people. Please let it go.

I'm sorry but I am a lifelong fan and supporter of Congreesman Weiner. He could kill my mother's cat and I probably would still vote for him, because on the matters that really count, he stands tall and fights for his constituents. I could care less if it's his wang or someone else's wang or who he was sending his wang to....I wish there were more Weiner's in Congress. (what? I had to.)

I know you probably feel proud of having scolded me and called me the teabagger name and what not, but I was just being honest. I am a constituent of Congressman Weiner's and for over 10 years he has done the right thing by us. I agree with his positions, and I find his fighting spirit to be indicative of the communities he serves. So, an inappropriate picture that was accidentally sent over Twitter or was intended for someone else to me does not warrant me abandoning the bandwagon when he fought for 9/11 victims, fought for kids to get health insurance, doesn't believe tax breaks to the top 1% of wage earners in this country do a damn thing to help working families in this country. So call me what you'd like, but I didn't try to pass off my statements as being objective I just told the truth.

I actually don't see what the deal is with this. You can see more than that at the beach or the pool when guys wear speedos. It isn't like he was soliciting sex either.
I really like Anthony Weiner, but if it turns out that he was sending this pic to a woman other than his wife, I will be disappointed in his behavior.

Who cares much ado about NOTHING. Democrats never claim to be like right wingnuts who deny sexuality and then get caught at EVERYTHING...funny how Vitter got elected after he was caught frequenting a prostitute and his wife stood in a leopard tight dress taller than he is while he apologized. Guess Republicans can be forgiving for serious offenses.

Rep. Weiner's issue is a NON issue. Who cares he is on the right side and i would vote for him in a heartbeat for ANYTHING!
