Gennette Cordova: New York Post Reporter Lied To Me

Woman In Weiner Scandal Accuses New York Post Of Lying To Her

The woman at the center of the Anthony Weiner controversy has accused a New York Post reporter of misrepresenting himself in order to get an interview with her.

Gennette Cordova, the Seattle-area student who received the now-infamous Twitter photo from Weiner's account, lashed out at Post reporter Reuven Fenton in a string of tweets on Friday and Saturday.

The Post published what it billed as an "exclusive" interview and photo shoot with Cordova on Friday. Cordova immediately cried foul, saying that she had been "Trojan horsed" by Fenton. She claimed that he posed as a photographer's assistant, never identified himself as a reporter and never asked to interview her.

"At random moments throughout the day the name Reuven Fenton flashes in my mind," Cordova tweeted. "You are everything that's wrong with journalism."

The Post said it stood by its story.
