In the team's final match before heading off for the Women's World Cup in Germany, the U.S. managed a 1-0 win over Mexico thanks to a wonder-strike from distance by 23-year-old Lauren Cheney.

The goal came in the 92nd minute of the match, and was the only time the American women were able to put one past impressive 16-year-old Mexican goalkeeper Ceci Santiago.

The U.S. Women's team opens the 2011 World Cup on June 28 against North Korea, then face Colombia on July 2 and Sweden on July 6.
