With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning on Wednesday, Milwaukee's Nyjer Morgan smacked a game-winning double to lead the Brewers to a 7-6 victory over the New York Mets.
But Morgan didn't know the game had ended. When Morgan reached second base, he was confused to see his teammates running onto the field.
“I thought it was the bottom of the eighth,” he said. "It’s probably a good thing that I thought it was the bottom of the eighth because I didn’t feel as much pressure. I guess it worked out as a good thing for us."
In his post-game interview, the 30-year-old outfielder said that he "didn't even know what time it was." Scroll dwon to watch the video.
