Michelle Obama Leaves For Camp David In $29.99 Gap Dress (PHOTOS)

Attention all Michelle Obama style lovers: Get thee to a Gap, stat!

The first lady departed for Camp David on Friday in the chain's "Impressionist Print Draped Dress" (worn as a tunic), white pants and sandals. As of this posting, the item is on sale for $29.99 on Gap.com.

This isn't the first time FLOTUS has been spotted in the brand's wares -- she previously wore a $10 Gap t-shirt to lunch with Nancy Reagan. She also caused a fast fashion frenzy after sporting a $34.95 H&M dress to sit down with "The Today Show," and also stepped out in a Merona frock (sold at Target stores) two summers ago.

Well it's nice to know that Mrs. Obama has a wide range of styles and can carry them off well! I really like the fact that our last two Democratic First Ladies are real life career women who know how to be their own persons, even if they have to take 8 year hiatuses for their hubbies. Wonder what Michelle will do when she is free and the kiddies are in college! Maybe Attorney General?

Anyway, much improved over the retiring Mrs. Bushs. Vastly more improved than Fancy Nancy who had to wear designer duds just to luncheon on new china with her psychic.

Sounds like Cheri missed the point...... Name any other first lady who didnt have those 3000 dollar dresses in their closet. Get off your high horse , all FLOTUS and POTUS have to operate at a certain level to represent the country. Sounds like you are one of those people who point fingers and complain without understanding what their complaining about. Its not a bad thing when the First lady wears off the rack clothing.... i mean really? is this what you fill your day with?

Not a fan of Obama, but I like M's sense of style (or her assistants style, don't know who actually bought it for her).

Proving the point you don't have to have expensive things to look nice, great lessons for all the girls who demand Tiffany braclets, Seven jeans, and Coach purses.

Some of the posts are so ignorant. They were not broke coming in to office and the President actually does EARN his salary just like other elected officials past and present. So, if she spends her money buying a $10 t-shirt or a $5,000 dress -- it's their money to spend -- not YOURS. If you have a problem with that - run for office! Otherwise, suck it up - man. We should complain when they take overseas vacations that require the use of secret service personnel upwards of five million -- that's a worthwhile gripe.

What a photo op! I mean she had someone go get that thing. I bet she wont put it in her closet next to all the custom made dresses mostly costing $3000.00.
Everyone knows the Obama's are the only one living like rock stars in this bad economy while the rest of America suffers, the Commander and Chief goes around the world on our dime. He must smell the election failure coming.

Oh stop with the foolishness and negativity. Every Prez has gone around the world "on our dime" as you put it. Why should THIS Prez's entitlements and duties as Prez be any different?
