Historically Afghanistan was always a nightmare to conquer. No one ever succeeded. I wonder what made Bush think he could pull it off.

If you believed Mathew Hoh then many of the rank and file Taliban being encountered are really just local Afghans rising to the call when foreign troops enter their valleys. (Much the same as you would expect of Americans should America ever be similarly invaded). According to Hoh many of these people actually have no contact with the Taliban nor even with other Afgans just a few miles away.

More evidence that the US is only making enemies in the 'nation' we are supposedly 'building' (i.e. using for colonial-corporate profit). The shame continues. eventually we will bankrupt ourselves and there will be nothing of America but a memory - and if we keep engaging in useless wars, a very bad one.

wow, if only we could just shoot the enemy.

Headline should read, "90 Percent of Captured Taliban Were in the Way of Corporate Profit." Let's not kid ourselves about this.

So how many killed Taliban were actually civilians...? These guys should have been removed from command long ago... McCrystal for his lies about Pat Tillman and Petreaus for so much more... Basically, Bush and Cheney have stood down and are now dodging history's harshest judgments while Petraeus and McCrystal continue to commit war crimes....

The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war that we know about peace, more about killing that we know about living. ~Omar Bradley

And more about lying than about telling the truth.

The Kuran allows all Muslims to engage in armed Jihad in the infedel is showing aggression on their land,,,does this make all Iraqis, and Afghans enemy combatants? or justification to join the Taliban, or other organized groups?

I don't know because, just as with Ch ristians regarding the teachings of the Bi ble, differfent mu slims tend to interpret the teachings of the Kuran in different ways.

well, Quran or kuran says when your very own existence is in danger in your homeland than u can fight a holy war known as jihad.
