'Anonymous' Allegedly Demands Resignation Of Fed Chair Bernanke

Anonymous Goes After Bernanke

Huffington Post   First Posted: 06/13/11 08:04 PM ET Updated: 08/13/11 06:12 AM ET

If a new video purportedly by cyber-group "Anonymous" is to be believed, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has become the focus of a pointed threat.

In the video, uploaded on Saturday, the anonymous group, self-described as loosely connected and Internet based, allegedly claims that the Federal Reserve is guilty of "crimes against humanity" and calls for the resignation of Ben Bernanke. In addition, the group would seem to demand the break up of the Federal Reserve and other major banking institutions.

In response to criticism of the Federal Reserve's secrecy, Ben Bernanke this year gave the first-ever press conference by a Fed chairman. He plans to make the press a quarterly affair. The duties of the Federal Reserve include regulating bank and setting interest rates, among others.

This is not the only high-profile threat by the group -- also threatening Bank of America and Sony -- nor is it the first time the group has taken aim at Bernanke. The group first requested his resignation on March 12 of this year, in a similarly-designed video, according to Business Insider.

Both Bernanke-related videos link to the same domain name: AmpedStatus.org. In an April video threatening Sony with a data breach, a group, also said to be part of Anonymous, uses a similar-looking emblem to represent themselves, although the domain name, irc.anonops.in, is different.

Anonymous does not have one central site to confirm of deny the video is in their name. Searches for official confirmation did not prove successful.

If Bernanke doesn't resign by Flag Day, June 14, the video calls for public protests until demands are met, under the name "Operation Empire State Rebellion." But as Cnet News points out, it remains unclear whether the group will engage in cyber attacks against the Fed if it chooses to escalate.

The group is currently being blamed by Sony for allegedly hacking and shutting down its Play Station system in May, an accusation the group has denied.

Just this past Sunday, Anonymous reportedly took down the site of the Spanish Police, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. Spanish police claim to have no evidence that the individuals in question are associated with the group.

Bravo, Anonymous! As a crotchety old retired trial lawyer, I thoroughly object to hacking for profit, especially 'enterprises' such as the Nigerians and Russian Republics have created. I loved Wikileaks from the beginning. Without them, the 99% of Americans who are getting a major shaft from our President and BiPartisan Congress would never have a chance of getting the truth. When you hacked those organizations who denied servers and payments to Wikileaks, you got my respect. The hacking of government websites to support the revolutions (Tunisia, eg) and the priceless Iran hacking to commemorate the stolen election stole my heart. In this case, Anonymous, you're fighting a war for our freedoms, and taking on FedRes will be a challenge. FedRes is the lowest of the low, 'private' bankers running our money supply with the greedy consent of our elected pols. They'll throw everything the public and private sector can throw at you. If it means anything, this old lawyer is rooting for you - and so are a great many of my friends. Good Hunting, Gentlemen.

The reason our government is corrupt and our nation mortgaged to the Federal Reserve. The truth behind who controls our economy for profit and who we have been enslaved to. Who Bernanke truly reports to and why Obama has disdain for Israel. Educate yourself, then you will know why we have been put into debt on purpose. Learn who owns and runs the News Media, The Banks, The Shows we watch...... we have been seduced into a hundred years of servitude and slavery.

I am not antisemetic, but cannot deny the fact as to who has hijacked our country and to whose gain. Think about it, who are the wealthiest among us and who controls our lives?

The flood of Superpac money into states to control our elections

(keep in mind, because there is no transparency in donations, it could be anyone donating to our politicians - Saudi Arabia, banks, investment firms, oil companies, bin Laden groupies, Gaddafi, Murdoch, Koch bro. - we don't know),

coupled with the corrupt judicial system, has broken our government.

We are not a ‘by the people, for the people’ nation anymore.

Go Anonymous.
The fed, banksters, investment fraudsters, big oil, and our own government cannot regulate/fix themselves.

I hope y’all have contingency plans and backup systems in place.

They will not change quietly.

First step for American citizens: Campaign Finance reform.

http://freedomforceinternational.com/

Freedom Force International is a network of men and women from all parts of the world who are concerned over loss of personal liberty and expansion of government power. They are not mere complainers. They have a plan to do something about it. They also share a common belief in The Creed of Freedom, which is a statement of principles that guide them in their mission to build a better world.

Totalitarianism is on the rise everywhere because advocates of big government have taken leadership control of the power centers within every society. Power centers are organizations and social groupings – such as political parties, labor unions, church groups, media centers, and professional societies – that hold political power based on their claim to represent their members and on their ability to lead public opinion. It has taken many years for them to achieve this dominance over society, but they have succeeded. It does no good to complain or to theorize about what should be done. As long as advocates of big government hold the power, nothing will change.

WE MUST NOT BE LIKE CATS
One of the most profound differences between dogs and cats is that cats focus on effects while dogs focus on causes. If you toss a pebble at a cat, it will look at the pebble. If you toss it at a dog, it will look at you.

In this respect, too many people are like cats.

Their criticisms are on the mark. A debt based monetary system always bankrupts the country it "serves".

Well, if they're as good as they are purported to be, they should be able to hack a few e-mails from the Bernster to help us along in getting rid of him.

I think they're pretty much on the mark in their criticism of the FED, but it's a systemic problem which goes beyond the choice of chairman. With the 1913 passage of the Federal Reserve Act, the country's biggest bankers foist upon us a dysfunctional monetary system that enriches key bankers and harms everyone else.

The American Monetary Institute already has a suggested piece of legislation to remedy this problem. Dennis Kucinich is sponsoring it in the House. Lots of good info on their website:

I'm already a CU member, will work on transferring my there as well when values improve a bit. Am agitiating my homeowners association to move their money to a small locally owned bank instead of a HOA specialist out of State bank. Working on moving my 401k out of stocks, funny though, when my pension was scrapped and shifter to a 401k it was with the idea that "I" could invet "my" money, that I contribute. It is treated as part of my wages. But I don't get to choose sh|t unless it's a fund they offer. I can't invest in gold, I can't select my own mutual fund provider, yadda, yadda, yadda. It's just like it's still the employers pension funds, that they select the manager, all I do is pummp money into it and select from a small menu of their brothers and cousins mutual funds. So, I'm pushing back on HR that this isn't accepting of their fiduciary responsibilty based on the expressed objectives of a "non-pension" retirement fund that "I" manage for "myself". There are ways, I use to get by. Go get 'em anonymous. Time to put a flame torch, to their keep.
