Comedy: Is It Dying Or Thriving?

Danny DeVito knows comedy: he's been a top funnyman for over thirty years. And so it means something when he says that the genre is thriving.

Alongside some of TV's top names in laughter, including Rob Lowe, Joel McHale and Neil Patrick Harris, DeVito gave a positive prognosis for the state of comedy. One of the stars of dementedly funny FX hit "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," he compared small screen laughs to the wild set pieces of the big screen.

In a monologue that pinged from Lucille Ball to bottles in inconvenient places, well, DeVito makes his point.
