3 Members Of New Zealand Family Busted For Drunk Driving In One Night

The family that plays together stays together, but what if they all drive drunk?

In what New Zealand officials are speculating is a dubious record, three members of the same family have been booked for drunk-driving on the same night, the Timaru Herald reported.

The incidents happened June 11 and start when the youngest member of the tippling trio, a 15-year-old boy, was arrested for drunk-driving near Pareora, New Zealand. Officials says his blood alcohol level was more than 3.5 times the legal limit.

Once the teenager was taken to the police station in nearby Timaru for processing, his mother was called to come pick him up.

Officials stopped her about two hours later and arrested her for drunk driving after she tested for nearly twice the legal limit.

But it wasn't over there.

The woman called her partner to come and pick up her and her son and -- you guessed it -- he was stopped and arrested for having nearly twice the legal amount of alcohol in his system.
