MLB Power Rankings: Week 11

The MLB season is flying toward the All-Star break and, for the first time all year, things seem to be in order.

The Red Sox have overcome a miserable start while posting all-time type of numbers during its recent nine-game win streak and, are now on pace to win 107 games, a far cry from just a month ago.

Despite the season-ending injury to stud catcher Buster Posey, the defending champion Giants continue to stay afloat with superb pitching from one of the game's upper echelon staffs.

Further west, the surprising Mariners are quietly chasing down the powerful Rangers behind the dominant 1-2 punch of Felix Hernandez and rookie Michael Pineda.

The Yankees are another team worth watching very closely over the next couple weeks. The calf injury to Derek Jeter -- while not considered serious -- is likely to sideline him for an extended period. New York is already waifish thin in its middle infield, and can ill-afford for The Captain to miss many games.
