DeShawn Stevenson Arrested: Mavericks Guard Busted For Public Intoxication

NBA Champion Arrested

Two nights after winning the NBA championship, Dallas Mavericks guard DeShawn Stevenson was arrested for public intoxication in Irving, Texas.

According to ESPNDallas.com, police responded to a call at 10:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday night about an intoxicated person walking around an apartment complex.

Stevenson, who does not live in the apartment complex, apparently did not know where he was.

TMZ reported that the 30-year-old failed a sobriety test. He posted $475 bail Wednesday morning and was released.

Stevenson played a vital role for the Mavericks throughout the NBA finals.

In three of Dallas' wins over Miami, Stevenson nailed three 3-pointers and provided a spark off the bench.

He also spent time between games trash talking the Heat, calling Miami's players "actors" and claiming that LeBron James "checked out" of Game 4.
