iPad Hat Spotted At Royal Ascot (PHOTOS, POLL)

Princess Beatrice kept it pretty low-key at the Royal Ascot, wearing a wide-brimmed hat that paled in comparison to her reindeer-meets-pretzel royal wedding fascinator.

Fortunately, there was this chick to pick up the sartorial slack. Oh yes that is an iPad attached to her head.

To me, the English love affair with absurd hats is a constant reminder of their obsession with all things class related, and a constant reminder of the difference between them and us. Perhaps the day will come when these ridiculous head pieces become de rigeuer on this side of the pond, but I will not be part of the fad.

Ascot draws all kinds of wild, wonderful, crazy hats. This is no more nuts than the balloon hat in another photo display. I think they're all fun!

I've always thought the grand old days of hats for ladies and gentlemen were great, very classic. We just don't seem to be able to pull it off anymore, it looks contrived today.

My friends and I have Derby parties every year. And we deck out in hats for that. We need to upgrade to these new ones that kind of sit on the front of your head! Wonder how they keep them from sliding off......

Sadly there's just one small problem with this article, and no, the photo isn't photoshopped.

She isn't an Ascot racegoer, she's a model working on the PaddyPower stand there, that's not an outfit, that's her uniform.
