NBA Mock Draft: Version 3.0

Devoid of top-heavy star power, this first round is perhaps the most challenging one I've ever had to project. Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams are all but locked in at 1 and 2, but after that, it's anyone's guess.

Note: LISTEN to my detailed draft breakdown with the Gordon Monson Show on 104.7 FM and 1280 AM The Zone in Salt Lake and WATCH my video analysis.

We are a week away from draft night and the only thing we know for sure is ... nothing!

Enes Kanter has been solid in workouts, as have fellow Euro's Jan Vesely and Jonas Valanciunas, all of whom are highly unlikely to slide out of the top eight.

The highly anticipated Jimmer vs. Kemba workout took place in Salt Lake City yesterday, to which Fredette drew rave reviews with his improved lateral quickness and ability to create off the bounce against Walker, one of the most explosive players around. If The Jimmer truly impressed the Jazz as much as I'm hearing, than he could play a pivotal role in how the lottery shapes up.

As of now, I have Brandon Knight coming off the board at three to Utah, but GM Kevin O'Connor could feasibly nab Kanter at three and wait to take Jimmer at 12, with Knight slipping to seven.

Late in the first round, look for a couple new names, including sharpshooting guard Andrew Goudelock (College of Charleston) and Nolan Smith, who has crept back into the first after solid workouts.
