Oprah On OWN: 'I Wouldn't Bet Against Me,' I Want O.J. Simpson To Confess To Me

Oprah: 'I Wouldn't Bet Against Me'

Oprah returned from her vacation to send a message about her fledgling cable network: she's all in.

"The vacation that I thought I was going to have is kind of over," she told cable industry bigwigs at the annual Cable Show in Chicago on Thursday.

While she ended her talk show with huge stars and huge ratings, Oprah has been hit by wave after wave of bad news about the Oprah Winfrey Network, which she launched in January. Poor ratings, canceled shows and an ousted executive led her to admit that the channel wasn't where she wanted it to be.

Speaking to Investigation Discovery's Paula Zahn on Thursday, Oprah admitted that she had made mistakes with OWN, but said that she was going to focus all of her energy to making the network a success.

"I have committed everything I have to this cable network," she said. "And I wouldn't bet against me."

The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Oprah said she is still trying to get O.J. Simpson to confess to killing his wife.

"I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me," she said. "And I am going to make that happen people. I don't just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson."
