Goth culture is known for its music, but its fashion is what's turning heads in Germany's famed Wave-Gotik festival.

An estimated 20,000 followers of the Goth music scene -- many of them in off-the-wall outfits -- flocked to Leipzig for the five-day music fest, which features some 200 bands playing all kinds of music like metal, industrial and classical at venues around the city.

Since it started as a 10-band festival in 1992, Wave-Gotik has become one of the subculture's defining annual events, influencing the music and fashion of Goth lovers worldwide.

This year, the crazy clothes featured some Victorian flourishes, as well as old-timey "Steampunk" stylings and high-tech Cybergoth garb.
