Eddie Rocha's Stolen Watch Spotted Online (VIDEO)

WATCH: Man Spots His Stolen Designer Watch Online

Connecticut resident Eddie Rocha, whose home was burglarized in April, claims he recently found an expensive watch that he says was taken during the break-in.

Rocha says that he launched an online search to find the watch, valued at around $2,000, after the official police trail went cold.

He says he suspected that a 17-year-old neighbor had swiped the watch, but that the item never appeared on eCommerce marketplaces like Craigslist and eBay, which Rocha checked regularly.

According to ABC Local News, the suspect attended high school with Rocha's son, and Rocha spotted the suspect wearing his watch in two prom photos that he noticed while browsing the school website. He brought the photos to police, who arrested the neighbor and returned Rocha's watch, along with other pieces of property taken during the burglary.
