Amish Man Willard Yoder Arrested For Sexting 12-Year-Old Girl

Is it fair to say sexting is out of control when even the Amish can't keep it in their phones?

The Smoking Gun reports that a 21-year-old Amish man was arrested last week during an undercover sting operation when he tried to meet with a 12-year-old girl.

Willard Yoder arrived to a Milroy, Indiana restaurant via horse and buggy and was arrested for sending nearly 600 sexts, nude photos and explicit videos to the girl he planned to meet, per ABC News.

Yoder apparently did not know the girl and contacted her "by chance," but according to the Connersville Police Department report, Yoder believed the girl to be 13-years-old, thought they would have sex, and repeatedly asked for nude photos.

Det. Craig Pennington told ABC News, "He just punched a number, hoping for a reply. If that is true, that's kind of scary because I'm sure that's not the first time that ever happened."

Yoder is facing four felony charges for allegedly soliciting sex from an underage girl, reports The Smoking Gun who have a mug shot of the accused, as well as the full police report.

I believe there has never been an Amish prisoner executed. Nor a practicing Amish soldier killing innocents abroad, or Amish making you join their religion. They do not support big auto, are not reliant upon expensive farm machinery, and have a low impact on the earth. Not bad, I would say.

Yes....for murdering his wife....in front of their children....3 miles or so from me here in PA.
You can read the book..."Crimson Stain" by Jim Fisher....a former F.B.I. agent...now a teacher at Edinboro University in Western Pa.

It is clear by many of these posts that there exists a great deal of misinformation and stereotypes about the Amish. A start to get some good information is the Amish Cultural Museum in Shipshewana, IN. They have a great book selection as well.
