Arnold Schwarzenegger Paying Child Support To Maria Shriver: Report

Arnold Schwarzenegger is paying child support to his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, even though the couple has yet to iron out any kind of financial agreement, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Neither Arnold nor Maria has officially filed for divorce yet, but the former Governor of California has been paying his estranged wife "a significant amount of child support. Arnold is also paying for his sons, Patrick and Christopher's private school bills," a source close to the situation tells us.

"Even though Maria is a Kennedy, and has inherited a great deal of money from her parent's estate since their deaths, she is taking the child support. Under California law she is entitled to the child support, once either one of them files for divorce. Maria and Arnold's lawyers have been working on a divorce settlement but in the meantime Arnold is willingly paying the money to Maria."

Bull. Child support is a tax free money transfer to the custodial parent for children. What is happening here is a tax free transfer of possibly millions of dollars in the guise of child support to his kids through their mother: Arnold pays no estate tax and no gift tax for this money. So rich people can evade taxes by divorcing and paying each other child support.

Well at least they are ironing out their differences with respect to their children's best interests at hand.

Really didn't like Schwarzenegger politically but this is a family issue and I hope the best for all concerned.

No biggie. He has it. I think the whole child support payment thing is more symbolic than anything else. Maria would be entitled to alimony, which I doubt she would take.

Perhaps there will be no divorce filing by either party. Maybe they will work out some type of marital agreement.
