Lindsay Lohan Talks House Arrest With Life & Style

Lindsay Lohan

JOHN CARUCCI   06/22/11 10:18 PM ET   AP

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles prosecutors say Lindsay Lohan will return to court Thursday so a judge can consider whether she violated her probation while serving house arrest.

District Attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons says Lohan's case is expected to be called at 10 a.m., but no other details were available. She says her office has not received any documents laying out the specific allegations against the 24-year-old actress.

Her spokesman Steve Honig says he could not comment on the hearing.

Lohan has been on house arrest since last month. She had been expected to serve 35 days of a four-month sentence for violating her probation on a 2007 drunken driving case by taking a necklace from a store without permission.

Lohan resolved the theft case with a no contest plea in May.

reading about the barefoot bandit today and the fact that he might get as few as 10 years for his antics, and ONLY serve maybe, that's maybe 5 or 6 or less. IN the mean time his mother gets $300,000 for having something to do with the movie they're filming so it's evident as you see all of this that our godless system makes it very profitable for crooks and thieves and crime in general. BUT what most don't stop to consider is that CRIME is a commodity to the system and without it, THEY DON'T HAVE A FREAKING JOB. And so they are going to milk it, they are going feed off it but they have no intention of trying to control or stamp it out. The most rewarding thing about that is, and it's sometimes a long time coming is that those in the system suffer from the very criminal they encouraged and promoted and I enjoy that when it happens. I really do!!

Does the ankle bracelet double as a Kindle, allowing audio playback of those scripts she's supposedly "reading"? They'll be plenty of time to bone up on those supporting roles while she rides in the black SUV to Court Tomorrow Morning. Yeah, she tested dirty again. Can't tolerate bad scripts unless we're a tad tipsy, eh Lind???

it's a no brainer for me. anybody that has ever done any 'real' jail time would be delighted to have to endure house arrest.

I will be non-cynical for one post. I know--rich pretty girls vs. the rest of society, I know. If she is honest about not drinking anymore, and she has a chance to get back to being an actress again, good for her. I'd like to see her succeed, and I am glad she is still alive.

Who really cares about her anymore? The press seems to give her more publicity then she deserves. She is trash and always will be. Her privledged life goes on and on and nobody seems to want to put her in jail where she belongs. Please use this space for something interesting.

A friend of mine was on one of the early forms of house arrest before the ankle bracelet. The court ordered a video recorder with tv screen that was connected with an auto dialer to the phone line. If the auto dialer picked and called your phone number you had to answer within 3-4 rings. The recorded voice would then have you turn the video recorder on and would tell you to touch your right ear with your left hand or other commands similar while it recorded you. Each call would ask a different command. A few times the auto dialer would stick and she would get a call every 10 minutes for over an hour. I remember once she got called at 2 am and it kept calling until 3:30am. Not only was she woken from sleep, she had to go through the different commands for over an hour and half. It called 8-9 times! LOL On top of that, the court made her pay $75 a week to be on the program. She had a 6 month deferred, so needless to say she paid $1800 to be constantly bothered by the machine. I would have rather sat it out in jail!

Lohan is serving house arrest on a 120-day jail sentence for violating her probation in a 2007 drunken driving case by taking a necklace without permission from a jewelry store in January. I didnt` know that was the new terminology for it. I thought it was called THEFT. But the writer puts this lovey dovey spin on it, ``taking a necklace without permission``. She didn`t steal the necklace your honor, she merely ``took it without permission``.
07:12 PM on 06/22/2011
I am sorry but I do not care that she did drugs, stole a necklace. I don't care if the necklace she took was a penny or a million bucks or thousand. I know she been breaking laws a lot but that does not give them a right to not give her permission to go to her brothers birthday party. If they where scared that she do something wrong then they should of had somebody go to watch her. but i am sorry that just pisses me off. just messed up. I know that she done a lot of bad stuff but it is her family for god sake let her go.
07:18 PM on 06/22/2011
Well, I'm sorry but you're not very bright! House arrest is exactly that. She's darn lucky to be in her lavish home and not in jail where anyone else in her shoes would be! You are pissed off because you think she should be able to attend a birthday party while under arrest. Please! You are what, 10?

You are the type of person that she has had for friends and family, and that's why she stays in trouble. You're an idiot!

Actually home confinement would not be a severe punishment for me. I'd rather enjoy being home not being able to leave. It would be fun. Think about it, people bringing you food from grocery store, just laying around in your PJ's all day if you'd like. Watching all the TV you wanted to. She does have it easy.

The Lindsay Lohan house arrest just goes to show that if you are rich, or famous, you will never
face punishment for any wrong that you do.
