Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Ryan Dunn's Funeral

Westboro Baptist Church, the radical Kansas group famously responsible for protests at the funerals of gay rights supporters and innocent children alike, is at it again. On Monday the group released a memo detailing plans to picket the funeral of "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn.

In the news release, titled "Ryan Dunn is in hell!" Westboro calls for the picket due to "vulgar stunts" and involvement in MTV's popular "Jackass" franchise, the fans of which Westboro names a "perverse generation." The tweets and sentiments of Dunn's family and friends are also called out in the memo. "You should have told him the truth about God," the group warns.

34-year-old Dunn passed away on Monday when the car he was driving was involved in an accident thought due to speeding, also killing passenger Zachary Hartwell. A private service for family and friends will be held near Dunn's home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with a public memorial service to follow.

Funerals are for the living and do not affect the dead. Ryan Dunn is beyond these shameful demonstrations---this hate-filled congregation is doing nothing but increasing the suffering of this person's family and friends. What a travesty that such people call themselves followers of Christ.

Dear Members of the WBC that have been protesting funerals.
You should be ashamed of your actions. Who gave you the power to judge, how other people live their lives? I bet not a single one of you are completely and utterly sin free. I often wonder how your "god" feels about your protesting of a holy day, what if another religion was to protest a funeral for a member of your family, or your church, or your community? You wouldn't have that smug look on your face then would you? And next time you want to protest a military funeral, take into consideration who's fighting so that all people have the freedoms, we as a nation take for granted. I don't see any of you stepping up to the plate to fight for the country you take advantage of.

No one denies the mistakes that to his life and the life of his passenger. His career was build on us paying for the things that the guys did WE PAID FOR THAT ENTERTAINMENT so they were doing something right!!! What ever Ryan Dunn did has nothing to do with the death of the two people including himself. They both have family and friends and tons of fans that are morning the loss of their loved one HOW DARE westboro (notice in small font because they are a little useless church that cause havoic for no reason) PICKET ANY FUNERAL. I hope you know the pain these people are in at this time. Everyone has made mistakes and I am almost positive that most of the westboro church (cult) have made mistakes to. Also you have no right to picket anyones funeral you (SORRY FOR THE NEXT FEW WORDS NOT SORRY TO westboro church) PIECES OF S--T.

What gets to me the most about these people (well, besides the fact that the media gives them so much attention, which is exactly what they want) is the fact that they can say whatever kind of hateful things and harass whatever people they want, but animal rights protesters, people who are motivated by compassion, are considered the next worst thing to terrorists (google "green scare" and "green is the new red" for information).
