Check out our slideshow of the 9 most successful people expelled from college, and then weigh in in the comments section!

Harrison Ford
1 of 10
Three days before graduation from Ripon College in Wisconsin, Ford was expelled after failing a philosophy class in his senior year. Tough break, we don't feel particularly sorry for him. His films now gross about $3 billion domestically and $6 billion worldwide, making Ford the third highest grossing box-office star in the U.S.

I'd like to lock some professors at my college up...sans chamber pots.

Note that there isn't a single "rocket scientist" type on the list, except for Fuller, but the article conveniently and deceptively omits the fact that he eventually went back to school and got a doctoral degree. For all the other folks, college was clearly not an important ingredient for their chosen careers.

Samuel L Jackson locked the board of trustees in a room for two days!?!?!?!?

The AU Centre, of which Morehouse is a member, has a history of radicals. This was not unusual behaviour on HBCs during the Civil Rights Era. Not as likely to happen today, but still can.

What they didn't mention are some that should have been kicked out.

Why wasn't John McCain kicked out of the Naval Academy? I guess it helps if your dad and grandfather have four stars.

I've always had a particular fondness for Harrison. His quiet, laid back humor is charming to me and makes me smile and laugh. Such a cutie....:o) For those who commented that they didn't understand his success, that has something to do with it. That's his appeal for many of us.

But what did HF Jr. do that was noteworthy? His dad did it all, the rest of the Fords just have to work at not screwing up the family business.

Henry Ford II (not Jr.) was Henry's grandson (not son). And all "Hank the Deuce" did was take over the company at the age of 26 when his father Edsel died in 1943, guide the enormous Ford military manufacturing effort until the end of WWII (including the enormous, historic Willow Run bomber making facility), and then switch the company completely back over to successful civilian production in the 25 years after the war. That's all.
