Botox Mom Sheena Upton Taking Parenting Classes, In Counseling: Report

It's been over a month since we last heard from "Botox Mom" Kerry Campbell, a San Francisco woman who claimed on "Good Morning America" that she injected her eight-year-old daughter Britney with Botox to ready her for the pageant scene.

After about a week of the story slowly unraveling, Campbell admitted that the entire thing was nothing more than an acting job she agreed to in order to make a quick $200 (saying, "Honestly, I don't even know what Botox is"), oh, and that her real name is Sheena Upton.

So what's Sheena Upton up to now?

RadarOnline.com reports that Upton is attending parenting classes and in mental health counseling, after visting the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) this week.

A source told the gossip site, "Sheena seems to be willing to do the work required to make sure she keeps custody of her children," adding that she "is beginning to grasp what she did to her daughter. Sheena will have two family members living with her and her daughters for at least the next six months. The DCFS investigation into the matter will remain open for at least the next six months," at which point social workers will assess whether the case should be closed. And whether we'll ever have to hear about this mess again.

it's not because I have a low IQ for reading stories like Botox and Octo-mom, the Kardashians, the woman who gave her daughter a breast implant voucher for her 7th birthday, etc...I just find it so facinating! Like watching Gorillas mate at a zoo! It isn't a pretty sight and Lord knows I am not going to indulge myself with any gorilla lovin any time soon (except with my boyfriend,,heehee) but Lord help me!! I...I..I just can't turn away from it! Like looking at road kill when you pass by!

Fortunately the child never really got the Botox. I get the feeling there are real pageant moms who would give their child the real stuff if they thought it would cause the kid to win.

This woman is sick, and I hope she follows through with counseling. If not, the kids need to be safe--if that means they have to be taken away from the mom, I hope the department actually does so. But I don't hold out a lot of hope that the child welfare people will be as vigilant with this woman as they need to be if media pressure eases.

So for an entire 2 dollars, let me repeat: 200 dollars (hope you inferred the reverberation) she embarrassed herself AND her daughter, AND earned herself a Mother of Year nomination. All sarcasm aside, I do kind of feel sorry for her, and I am glad she is taking her parenting classes. She must feel like: "WOW, I didn't know it come to THIS...I just needed to pay the water bill!"

That's not even the half of it! DCFS needs to investigate all parent's, especially mothers who enter their daughters in these ridiculous beauty pageants. Some Mothers are so over the top posessed about these pageants, that they will do anything to win. Note, I haven't even mentioned the girls who suffer because of their mothers. Because of a mother's abuse towards a daughter to win a beauty pageant, the daughter grows up learning how to abuse and the cycle repeats. Anyway, some mothers are genuine dingbats to begin with. DCFS should be investigating all of them. But, this is America.

She shouldn't be allowed to have custody of her children, anyone who puts neurotoxins into a child should be arrested and thrown in jail. What she did could have serious and potential side effects later. Shame on her!

Seriously pathetic journalism. She's a "San Francisco woman" even though she just moved from the UK and somehow she is taking parenting classes in LA. Which is it? I know it makes a better 'only in San Francisco' freakshow story to say she's from SF, but she is not. So irritating that they cannot even do the most basic fact-checking on these stories.

I think MogSF got the UK thing because of prior articles. When it came out that this was a farce, Kerry/Sheena said she got money for claiming this from a UK rag paper.
