New York Gay Marriage Supporters At The Stonewall Inn Cheer The Bill's Passage (VIDEO)

WATCH: Reactions At The Stonewall Inn The Moment It Passed

It was good to be a New Yorker Friday.

As the Senate debated the same sex marriage bill in Albany, those who support gay rights and same sex marriage flooded the historic Stonewall Inn, birthplace of the gay rights movement, to watch it unfold.

Matt Sledge was there at the moment when the votes were being counted, and when it was announced that the bill had secured 33 votes (it needs 32 to pass) the entire bar erupted in cheering and excitement.

If you support marriage equality, it was basically the best place to be in the world at that moment. Afterwards, revelers spilled out in the West Village streets are partied like it's gay pride weekend. Oh wait, it is!
