Microsoft, Facebook, Fedex and Apple. These are some of the most successful businesses in the country at the moment. They also have one other thing in common. They were all started by college student entrepreneurs.

Below, check out our slide show of the most successful college entrepreneurs and then weigh in, in the comments section, with your thoughts.

Mark Zuckerberg
1 of 11
In February 2004, Zuckerberg founded what would one day become the second most visited website in the world. He was a nineteen-year old sophomore at Harvard. Seven years from that day, one out of every dozen people on the planet would have a Facebook account. As Time Magazine wrote about Zuckerburg in his "Person of the Year 2010 Profile," "Zuckerburg wired a twelfth of humanity into a single network, thereby creating a social entity almost twice as large as the U.S. If Facebook were a country it would be the third largest, behind only China and India." To date, Zuckerberg is estimated to be worth about $13.5 billion, making him the youngest self-made billionaire in history.

So when did we stop trying to invent a cure for cancer or AIDS or the common cold. Seems social media plays a bigger role in society than oh lets say, healing agents. I'm just saying.... it would be cool to see a few doctors or Scientists on this list who made a contribution to the world as well as a profit.

Clovis Clodoveo.

The caption says Wozniak is on the left in the picture, but I think Jobs is on the left, and the Woz on the right. Is that correct?

This is interesting. Actually, a lot of our young students can really become great achievers. It is just a matter of having a good idea and making all the right choices. Here’s a really interesting article about choosing between going to college or starting your own business. Would you trade your private student loan for a business loan?

It was a riot that this headline had a big picture of Zuckerberg's face with "big on Twitter" in the corner.

How in the world is Bill Gates not number one? His product controls around 90% percent of the world. Zuckerberg just created Facebook. Come on.

The reason there are no women on the list is because of discrimination! C'mon ladies, find a corporation you can blame this on and start a lawsuit!

Why not? What is the number one reason most people go to college? Because they've been told that over their lifetime, they will earn more than those that don't have a degree. Which one of these guys would benefit from having a degree?

Nobody on the list. Particularly in Bill Gates case he got bored real early. He was the intuitive mind and he could always hire the rational or logical ones.  Which he did as soon as he set up shop.
