Michigan State Student Accused Of Killing 10 Dogs

A Michigan State University medical student, Andrew David Thompson, allegedly killed 10 dogs and gravely neglected another.

Thompson was charged with 10 felony counts of animal killing, and another misdemeanor count of animal cruelty on Monday. He faces more than 4 years in prison if convicted.

Police obtained a search warrant after a complaint was received about Thompson bringing dogs to his Berry Tree apartment near Hagadorn Road and killing them. The dogs were allegedly Italian Greyhounds, and the killings began back in October, 2010 until the present time.

County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III has not released any details

Thompson was a student at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine until he was suspended a week ago in response to the charges.
