Sarah Palin Joins Bristol Palin At Book Signing

NEW YORK -- Sarah Palin will be stopping by for the start of her daughter's book tour.

The former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate will appear with Bristol Palin on Wednesday in Bloomington, Minn., at the Barnes & Noble in the Mall of America. HarperCollins Publishers announced Monday that the two will sign copies of their latest books.

Sarah Palin says in a statement that she is "so proud" of her daughter and " thrilled to be joining her to kick off her book tour."

Bristol Palin's memoir, "Not Afraid of Life," came out last week and Wednesday is her first public event. Sarah Palin's "America by Heart" was released last fall. HarperCollins imprints published both books.

I gave SP the benefit of the doubt from the beginning when she was thrust upon us without warning by John McCain. I have over time decided that she is not the person who I would like to see as our 1st woman President. I understand why she and her daughter are using their 15 minutes of fame to earn all the money they can because soon it will die down -- then no money. I am frankly tired of seeing and hearing about both of them so much. I do not plan to buy either book as I have no interest in hearing what either woman has to say. Both have small children that need their mother's attention. Both are power hungry and money hungry. Both love to bash other people, especially women they do not like eg. the McCain women. Do not understand why they do that except to elevate their own importance in their own mind. I am just so tired of hearing about the Palin women so I turn the tv off when their face appears. Hopefully, all this hype about them will go away soon.

Let's see here. Bristol's first job after having her baby was at a doctor's office as the manager. Next she was dancing on television. She goes to celebrity gatherings for her photo ops. She did manager to slip in some cosmetic surgery, bought a house in AZ (as did mama) and now she is on a book tour. How old is she again? What is in this book that would compel me to purchase it? I work hard for my money, and this book benefits who again?

Why couldn't Bristol have her time in the limelight without her mother having to butt in? It seems that Sarah can't let someone else get some attention, even her own daughter - how selfish! We are seeing more and more about what Sarah is all about - herself and making money any way she can. Low book sales maybe will show Bristol that people really aren't interested in her personal and intimate life. She needs to having lived longer to have any history and experiences; you don't have that at age 19. Her life is just beginning.

My wish for her is to have a stable person in her life who could advise her about the right way to make money if that is her goal - education first, then get a job, but first be a good mother to her son, which involves quite a bit of her time and energy. Life isn't all about wealth!

Here are the rules you must follow to get Sarah to sign your book at MOA. It looks like no one, even Mama Grizzly, expects Bristol to sell many books without Sarah forcing her minions to buy it in order to get to her. What a scam, but what else can we expect from a Palin.
From MOA website:
1. info about time
2. You must have a Mall of America issued wristband in order to enter the autograph line.
3. You must purchase a copy of “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far” to receive a Mall of America wristband.
4. You must have a copy of “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far” in order to purchase a copy of “America by Heart” and/or “Going Rogue” signed by Sarah Palin. Limit 4 books per guest.

I saw that too - in order to get Sarah signature you had to buy both her book and Bristols - they are quite the family

interesting how Levi gets bashed for not being a "on hands dad" but Bristol is doing nothing but traveling the country, moving to AZ and now to CA, - not a fan of levi's but how is a dad suppose to see his kid ? Easy to be a rich celebrity - and let's face it, Levi's last burst of fan will be his little book - and then poof he'll be gone, and we will be stuck with Sarah Bristol and the upcoming Willow.

The truly sad thing about the MOA book signing was the pics on flicker of the event showing the long line of mindless drones lining up to meet an actual celebrity, if I may even call those two that. ( I wanted to call them something else but fear getting banned.)

Thank goodness Bristol's at an age where she has plenty of free time and energy to drive around from state to state. My advice to Bristol is to live it up while you still can and before you have any serious responsibilities to take care of.

Umm...Sarah...I don't think she wants you there. I think she wants to do something without you using it for publicity. But you just can't do it, can you? Kicking off her book tour with her mommy at her side. I am no fan of Bristol Palin, but this excuse for a mother just makes me sick.

On the contrary, I get the feeling that Bristol will do anything to get more money and, if that means she has to live in her mother's shadow, so be it. If SarahPAC and Newsmax had ponied up for more advance copies of Bristol's ghostwritten masterpiece, Bristol wouldn't need Sarah along for the ride to help boost sales.
