Cara Delevingne Says No To Career-Killing Spice Girls Musical

We'd like to introduce you to the candid and quirky Cara Delevingne: socialite, model, beat boxer extraordinaire and would-be Posh Spice. The 18-year-old has inched her way onto the fashion scene as of late, most notably posing for this year's Burberry ad campaigns.

But the Telegraph reports that the blonde Brit has also been sought out to act -- in an upcoming Spice Girls musical.

Funnier than the notion of a Spice Girls musical (which will be performed on London's West End and produced by Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer, apparently) is Delevingne's response to the offer to play Victoria Beckham in the production:

The Burberry model tells Mandrake: "My agent said, 'No, you can't, it will be a career killer.' Of course, I loved the Spice Girls. I loved Geri and Baby, but who liked Posh Spice? They said I looked like her and I said, 'That's not cool, that's really mean.' "

It's a shame, too, because Delevingne is quite entertaining. In another interview with The Telegraph, the model revealed another talent she could bring to the stage:

I'm a world class Beat Boxer, you should hear the noises I can make with my mouth... I'm also obsessed with drumming and have a massive electric drum kit in my bedroom, I'm drum mad.

She is also quite skilled at getting in and out of clothes at hyper speed. Watch the endearing Cara Delevingne clown around below and read the rest of her interview at Telegraph.co.uk.

To quote another 90's favorite : "No, she's a full-on Monet."-Cher Horowitz
No real Spice Girl lover would diss another woman like that in the press.
That kind of defeats the whole purpose of the Girl POWER!

If she works in the fashion industry and is publicly saying that being compared to Victoria Beckham is "really mean", I really hope those beat boxing skills pay the rent.

Why all the Posh hate?

She passed up an opprotunity to be Posh?! That's insane. Fire that manager right away if he really thinks this would ruin your career. What women wouldn't want to pretend to be Posh Spice-especially if it meant on opening night meeting her and that delicious husband of hers! Foolish choice....

I happened to like Victoria best. Melanie was a close second.

Me too. This poor model has really showed her vacuous nature with comments like these. Stick to the clothes horsing...Cara was it?
