Media Matters Toasts Final Glenn Beck Show With Silly Party (VIDEO)

Glenn Beck's tenure at Fox News will come to an end on Thursday, and no organization seems happier about his impending signoff than Media Matters, the progressive news watchdog group that has spent months pressuring advertisers and network executives to pull Beck out of his hourlong 5 p.m. slot.

On Monday, Media Matters threw a party to celebrate Beck's departure, drawing hundreds of activists, journalists and political strategists from the nation's capital. The Huffington Post's Zach Carter was there.

Media Matters should hopefully lose their tax-exempt status. There is no way they should be allowed any tax payer funds. They are clearly an attack outfit with clear intentions. Glad Fox news and its MANY viewers are going after this hack outfit. It is their right to say what they want but totally wrong for them to get tax exempt status

There'll be a new rodeo clown in Beck's slot to compete with the rodeo clowns at the other networks.

We needn't worry. They'll keep right on ignoring 3 wars abroad, a drug war at home, an unpayable debt and a congress owned by monied interests...AND, they'll keep right on serving up Beck style delusion to a rapt audience. We'll learn even more about Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen.

It already has, I read yesterday on Yahoo that he went out into public with Wife and Kids down to Bryant Park NY to see a movie or something. And got a lot of jeers and boos and expressions of dislike to say it mildly.........

So stating facts is now spreading hate. Reminds me of how the so called "media" in Europe deals with people like Geert Wilders.

Funny thing though, despite the constant character assassination that Geert has to deal with, his popularity in the Netherlands is rising even now.

I wonder how many of the booing people ever sat down, listened to Beck and then went ahead and actually checked his claims. I'm pretty sure the actual number would be close to zero. After all so called "progressives" (who're not progressive at all) don't like facts. They're all emotional crybabies with their "think of the children!" crap.

The left sure fears some conservatives, Glenn Beck seems to be the leader of the pack, Sarah and Michelle are both close seconds. What is so scary? They believe in God! Not scary. Love God, family and country! Not scary.
It might not be one of these three that gets elected President, however I am certain it won't be a big government, big taxer with the big brother attitude Pres like we have now.
Lets fire all the big government politicians and get back to the basics, like Glenn plans to talk about on his own, new and huge internet TV net work.
Imagine if you don't subscribe you can't watch it. Be careful lots of libs join because they can't stand not being mad at something or someone. Might as well be Glenn.

You've missed alot with your broad generalizations. It's not a fear of these people at all. The issue many take with the three conservatives you mention is their lack of competence. Sarah Palin is a half term governor turned D-list celebrity whos own state now reviles, Bachmann continues to churn out the same Republican talking points that I've heard since I was a child, and Beck, worst of all, preys on the ignorance and fears of seniors to extort money and peddle racial and religious bigotry. So, yes. I have an issue with these people, but I don't fear them.
