Michelle Obama's Best Red, White & Blue Garb (PHOTOS, POLL)

Huffington Post     First Posted: 07/03/2011 10:02 am   Updated: 09/02/2011 5:12 am

Happy 4th of July weekend from HuffPost Style!

To celebrate, we've rounded up a series of FLOTUS fashions that would make Betsy Ross proud. Michelle Obama has donned formal gowns in each of Old Glory's three colors and wears more casual outfits with red, white and/or blue motifs on the regular. Talk about fashionable flag-waving!

Take a break from barbecuing and bronzing to let us know which look you think captures classic Americana with a twist of first lady chic.

Our First Lady is very beautiful. When is she going to be recognized for her brains as well?

I don't care much for Michelle's fashion sense. But, I like her alot! She seems to have a great head on her shoulders. She and President Obama seem to make a great couple. I didn't vote for Obama, however, that doesn't take away from the fact that they seem to have a very stable marriage. I applaud them for that!!

Michelle Obama always looks 1000% vested in whatever she is doing and her wardrobe reflects her passionate and indominable spirit. I'll always remember how she did something never before done in presidential history. On Inauguration day she presented the outgoing FLOTUS(Mrs. Bush) with a gift. Just one example of her timeless class and thoughtfulness.

She's a great Ambassador and exudes energy and passion. She's also an inspiration to young women worldwide. That's what style is really about.

That would be $zero.  Pretty good deal for us, too bad you can't say the same for the Cons who whine about spending, but take pork for their states and personally.

First Ladies pay for their own clothes. Ignore that all you want, but writing this lie repeatedly doesn't make it a fact.

The Jason Wu reminds me of my Mom's honeymoon outfit back in 1968. Timeless.
Love the red dress and the Sonu (sp?) top with the bangles

I see such a celebration of life in her clothing choices. Fancy when it needs to be; practical when it needs to be. Always appropriate. Always colorful.

Cheers to the whole family on this 4th of July!
