Elections 2012

The New York Times:

At least half a dozen potential primary challengers to freshmen are considering a run, and there is heated chatter about more.

The Tea Party elect have done quite a lot since they took their collective oaths in January 2011. They have made a joke out of Congress. The best legislators start from the ground up, in local elections, pounding the pavement in cities and towns, shaking hands and learning the basics of government and governing. The aspiring town selectman, state representative, board of education chair, mayor. Running a  Read More...

I have said all along that the 2010 crop are going right back out the revolving door...........

They have brought nothing but abuse and dissent.

We still want to know where those jobs are John.

Republicans elected in 2010 reminded us why they were voted out in 2008. We will not forget again.

I hope not. Of course some of us forgot to vote. I hope they won't make that mistake again either.

I think the wins for republicans in the recent midterms will spell defeat in 2012. The tossed their fiscal agendas in the trash and picked up social ones.

If the democratic public would just get off their "collective lazy buts" and go vote for a change, a lot of the Tea Baggers will be one time senators, and a lot of veteran republican House and Senate members would be history too.

Time may be short so they'll have to do as much damage as possible.

No one can run on fringe politics and expect to enact fringe legislation. I'm a flaming liberal, but even I know that to legislate effectively, you may have to go center on a lot of issues.

At our local Fourth of July parade, freshman Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) was walking and waving and not one person waved or clapped or showed any kind of love. I might add that this was in a heavily leaning Republican county in a long time Republican state. The quiet response was amazing.

May not be a republican state in the near future if they keep up with their B.S.

Exactly! If a Democrat had a name like that the Republican attacks would pretty much write themselves. "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today..."

The reason many of these freshman Republicans will be looking for new jobs isn't because of primary challenges.

It is because they voted to END Medicare and replace it with Vouchercare.

The Democratic vote went UP 21% points in NY-26 and even Donald Trump admitted on Fox that half the Republicans who voted for Vouchercare will lose their seats.

Regressive republicans haven't delivered on any of the jobs they promised but they are making some progress and governmental control of every uterus in America.

They ran on jobs, and then spent their first 3 months in office worrying about Women's ladyparts. No wonder they aren't popular.
