Duchess Of Cambridge On Having Kids: 'Yes, I Hope To' (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

This just in: the Duchess of Cambridge hopes to have children one day.

ABC's Bob Woodruff reports that while in Quebec City on Sunday, Prince William and the former-Kate Middleton "walked over to this group of parents and there were these two little girls that wanted to give them these flowers, they handed them over to her as she squatted down and then one of the fathers told us he came up to her and wished her the best for when she ultimately has a family and she went back and said, quote, 'Yes, I hope to.' No timing about when she wants to do that and all that, but very interesting."

Interesting, indeed, Bob.

And in fashion credit news, Catherine wore a navy "Jacquenta" dress from the pre-fall 2011 Erdem collection, paired with her LK Bennett Sledge2 pumps and go-to champagne-colored clutch. Later in the day, upon her arrival on Prince Edward Island, she changed into a cream-hued frock by Joseph and a tweed jacket and carried an LK Bennett Natalie Clutch. (Scroll down for photos.)

I don't know why it is news. She told a Dad, "You have a beautiful daughter", and she was a really beautiful little girl. He told her "I hope you are blessed with children", or something to that effect, and she said, "I hope so." Suddenly, she is described as "broody" by the UK press and that she is talking children by the US press.

Another old gent told her he hoped she had a long and happy marriage and she replied, again, "I hope so".

What SHOULD she say? Maybe, "It's none of your business". Now THAT would be a story. But, Catherine would not even think to reply like that.

Of course she hopes to in both accounts. All new brides want a long and happy marriage and children.

I enjoy seeing her outfits. She is a classy lady. She dresses modestly but with flair. I try to teach my daughters modesty. It is hard being a mother to girls these days with all the outside influence. She is a good role model for girls.

I'm the mom of a son, but, thus far, as far as I can tell you have a lot of influence on the development of a child's base character...and after a seemingly obligatory period of experimentation, people usually (not always) return to what the old folks call "home training". :)

I hope they don't put the pressure on her to have kids before she's ready. She's young and has plenty of time and I hope she will enjoy her freedom with Wills before she has to be saddled with kids.
