Checkin For Checkups

Every time you eat a healthy meal or walk around the block, you could be helping to provide medical care for disadvantaged children.

Through Check-in for Checkups, each time you make a healthy choice such as exercising or packing a healthy lunch, you can "check in" at checkinforcheckups.com or tweet the hashtag #checkinforcheckups. Clorox will then donate 10 cents to the Children's Health Fund.

The goal is to provide 500,000 checkups to youths in need. Karen Redlener, executive director of the Children's Health Fund said in a press release:

"Without access to comprehensive health care, children are at increased risk of developing life-long health issues."

The release notes that one in five children in the U.S. live in poverty, and millions of children do not have access to regular checkups or health care visits. Simple childhood ailments like ear infections or tooth aches can become more serious health issues as a result.

If you're stumped when it comes to healthy ideas, the site offers suggestions.
